The impact of social network infographics




The art of visual communication dates back to Prehistory time as a form of communication amongst humans. As a designer I would say I do pretty much understand info-graphs to certain degree, depends how clear the message illustrated. But not everyone understands the simplified art in some cases info-graphics can be confusing and bombarded with too much information. Info-graphs are fun and quick to learn without a ton of heavy reading. It is a tool to educate and inform in visual graphics depending with the content. Info-graphs can be a combination of number, words or graphics.

The use of info-graphs on social media networks and how the online community understand them is fundamental. The purpose of info-graphs is to inform and convey massive message in a short period of time. Info-graphics are easy to recall than printed words, here are some that you need to familiarise yourself with.

  1. I usually run away from reading info-graphics, there's something so tedious about them to me. although I do realise their importance in educating people about a topic and when done properly then can attract people to knowing more about that topic.

  2. What tedious about them? I think it's easy to read the text is not heavy and provided the illustrations to support the message.
